Architecture Grad Student’s Project Selected for the 2020 AIA Emerging Professionals Exhibit

Master of Architecture candidate Donovan Linsey’s studio project, “The Nest: Revitalize + Protect + Inform,” was recently selected for the 2020 AIA Emerging Professionals Exhibit with the theme of “Environmental Excellence.”

The Nest is an educational center that teaches resiliency and sustainability by integrating architecture with natural passive design strategies. Donovan designed The Nest in Fall 2019 under the direction of Professor Daniel Butko, Professor Sam Callahan, and David Sanders. You can learn more about Donovan’s design concept, which was previously featured on the Oculus Blog, by clicking here.

The Emerging Professionals Exhibition is an annual digital exhibit that celebrates the most creative plans, projects, art, and design from architecture and design rising generation. The 2020 Exhibition was juried by Gail Kubik, Finegold Alexander Architects; Sandra Montalbo of San Antonio, Texas; and Todd Ray of Southerland Page.

Congratulations, Donovan!
