CoA Researchers Present at 2017 Acoustical Society of America Meeting

Associate professor of Architecture Daniel Butko and fourth-year undergraduate architecture student Zachary Maggia presented “Results from the Summer Sound Lab: Exploring acoustical options for a multi-use space on campus” at the 174th Acoustical Society of America (ASA) conference in New Orleans on December 7. Butko and Maggia shared initial design concepts from Butko’s Spring 2017 “Sound of Shaped Space” elective course, acoustical measurements collected over the summer, and design progress currently being developed in EASE acoustical software with fifth-year undergraduate architecture student Collin Abdallah. Content from the presentation is currently being organized into an invited ASA Journal article.
