Students from the OU Environmental Design program and Institute for Quality Communities recently earned two Citations of Merit at the Statewide Preservation Conference. One of the award-winning projects involved documenting the historic Sundial House during a Historic Preservation Planning course led by Ron Frantz. An overview of the students’ work, can be viewed in this video.

The other project, led by Ron Frantz and Hope Mander, looked at rehabilitating facilities at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in a way that would “respect the historic ‘parkitecture’ as well as meet current National Park Service guidelines.” A summary of this award-winning project can be found on the Institute for Quality Communities website.
